Blessed and Grateful

As this Christmas day came to an end I couldn't help but to reflect on the joyous memories I've had leading to this point. It is always sad to know that the end of the year is rapidly approaching but it's also exciting to see what new adventures life will bring.

This year there were many new beginnings for the Watts family. Isaiah started Pre-School and Nora expanded her vocabulary by what feels like 100 or more words and phrases. We've navigated a pandemic, adjusted to a fully remote work from home lifestyle and most importantly we grew stronger as a family unit.

Both kiddos took on soccer this year for the very first time, Isaiah 2 seasons and Nora 1 season. We are so proud and grateful for what they accomplished this year. Isaiah learned how to write letters, count to 100 and spell his name. He memorized several bible verses and continues to grow his heart and love for the Lord.

Isaiah never fails to remind me of how important my relationship and walk with our father is to this family. He's constantly watching my every move and is so bold to ask/question my motives. Traditionally this would be frowned upon as it would be viewed as a challenging position from a child to an adult, but for me its quite alright. I love his compassion to understand and comprehend. Frankly it's one of the greatest qualities that makes him who he is. So long as I'm walking strong in my faith and position as his father I have no problem providing an explanation to any question he may ask.

Nora has been steadfast in her continuous adventure for new discoveries. This little girl will climb Mt. Everest if you allowed her. And thats just the thing, as I've grown in faith this year I've also learned as a parent to be patient and nurturing of what may appear to be adverse behavior, but is simply a figment of her imagination. As her father it is my responsibility to help her find and walk the path that the Lord has blessed her with.

Teaching the both of these little souls how to love and care for one another is not always easy, but the one thing I am grateful for is that they truly love each other and they love God. Nora would follow Isaiah to the end of the world and back without second guessing their journey. As Isaiah would lead her with honor and care ensuring that every step of the way she is safe and happy.

One simply could not ask for a greater blessing than this. Regina and I are so happy to be in alignment with God's calling in our life. We both serve our church in many different ways and we're constantly seeking areas of our life and marriage where we can grow stronger with God and take the next step in our serving of the Lord. You see union and relationship powered by obedience opens the flood gates of God's covenant and protection over our family. We wouldn't want it any other way and we are so eternally grateful for the blessings God has provided to us.

As we reflect on this season we are sprinting towards the next with patience, compassion and determination to grow in our walk.

God Bless 🙏🏾
