Letter to Isaiah - 10/28/2019

Isaiah,

Over the past few weeks mom has worked with you to learn God's armor.
It bring's me great joy to hear you reciting all of the elements of God's armor.
I want you to know how important it is to remember these elements.

God's armor is introduced to us in Ephesians 6:14.

1. The Belt of Truth (Ephesians 6:14)
2. The Breastplate of Righteousness (Ephesians 6:14)
3. The Shoes of the Gospel (Ephesians 6:15)
4. The Shield of Faith (Ephesians 6:16)
5. The Helmet of Salvation (Ephesians 6:17)
6. The Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17)

As we grow in our connection with God we will lean on these elements to protect us from the things in life that do not want us to have a relationship with God.

You have done so well learning God's armor. So much so that you have recently taken a particular interest in wanting to become "Bible man" when you grow up. I know that some day you too will follow the word of God and keep his word at the forefront of all decisions you make in life.

I just want you to know how proud we are of you and we will do everything in our power to encourage your growth in faith and your relationship with God.
