This year has without a doubt been a year that most of us will never forget. From political controversy to global pandemic scare, yet we made it just a few days away from Christmas.

Let us not forget the blessings that we've received this year. Many families were able to spend more time together, for some the first time in a long time. New opportunities have opened in the job market allowing families to work remote and be closer to their loved ones. We've learned how to navigate and adjust to a rapidly changing environment. Most importantly we've learned how to trust one another and love our neighbor.

I could not imagine a world like the one we live in, yet again here we are. As we enjoy this holiday season i'd like to encourage each of you to reflect on the good things around the tree. Hold your children and loved ones close. Remind them that through any season we will always be under the protection and guidance of our Lord. Spend some time reflecting on the positive things that has happened. Ask your children to share with you the things they liked the most over the last 12 months.

Read the Christmas story to your family and try to understand as a unit exactly what it means to you all. Listen carefully to each family member's explanation and try to truly understand where they are coming from. Talk together about what this means to your family as a whole. Put together a game plan and strive to create more moments like this one throughout next year.

God Bless
